This chapter brought back a few memories going up. It took me back to high school days when we used to play pranks on each other. The boys at my high school used to play pranks on the girls all the time. One time the boys threw a lot of water balloons at the girls at homecoming. The girls were pissed for a couple days but they eventually got over it.
I also remember the times where it looked like everyone was following the rules but not everyone was. A couple times in English class we were suppose to be reading a book and a lot of the guys had magazines in the books. So the teacher thought everyone was doing the assignment because everyone was quiet and looking at they’re book. But a lot were reading magazines.
It makes me feel better about the life of boarding school that the students were making the best out of school and yet they were having fun in the progress.
Wylee,
ReplyDeleteI also thought something similar. I thought it was nice to see the different aspects of teh boarding school era. I always thought that the boarding schools had a very strict and vigorous work schedule. After reading the last couple of chapters I'm beginning to see the various activities that the students were allowed to participate in.
I think it was great for them to find something to laugh and talk about even though the times were tough in the boarding school. I don’t have any specific memories of torturing the girls in our class I can recall, however I know there were some kinds of pranks that were played amongst us.
ReplyDeleteYes! I thought the same thing. I am glad that they were able share these jokes they played on each other. I was quite the prankster in my day:) I am always scared someone is going to pay me back and punk me. Ahhh those were the days.
